Speakers Corner

Last Sunday I walked around in Hyde Park in London with a group of people. At the end of the walk we ended up at Speakers Corner. On that Sunday it seemed the post popular topic was religion, except the guy from the Communist Party who was talking about control of oil and electricity. Not just the speaker shared their opinion but also people in the crowd. There where loud discussions everywhere, but everyone where smiling and respecting one another.

FxCamera

I love downloading and trying out new applications on my Android phone. One I have been playing around with lately is FxCamera. In FxCamera you can shoot photos in 5 different modes, Toycam, Polandroid, Fisheye, Symmetri, Warhol and normal. The controls are easy enough to use and the different modes have settings you can configure. I think it is a fun application to play around with plus it is free to download.

Here are some examples of photos I have taken using FxCamera, using the default settings in the mode

So I am playing this game on Wii called The Conduit. I am playing Secret service agent Ford who is unearth a conspiracy involving aliens. I stared out working for the government, but then they lead me into a trap witch I only escaped by the skin of my teeth. I was then contacted by the former enemy and was told that the government is trying to kill the President. I agreed to help save the President, but I still have to fight with the same creatures as before. I it is all very confusing, and what exactly is the big secret

WorldTour, background App for Android phones

Android

Recently I installed this App on my G1. What it does is that it changes the background image on the home screen with images from webcams around the world. You can choose from many different locations, everything from the Eiffel Tower, Ground Zero,  giraffes in a Zoo, to a laundry room in Japan. It updates every 20 minutes, you can chose what camera you want to watch or let the application randomly pick on. The image quality from a lot of the webcams are surprising good, especially the once from NASA of the sun and earth from space impresses me. I have set the application up to randomly pick webcams. I have to admit that I find myself checking my phone more than usual to see what my home screen looks like. Last time I checked it was showing St Peter in Vatican City. This application is more interesting than I thought it was going to be, highly recommended

Give me steam

The other week I had the joy of riding a steam train, Nene Valley Railway outside Peterborough in UK. There is something increasable about being propelled forward powered by steam. The smell, the noise, the steam and shear power. I feel for the guy up front shoveling coal so I can go on my journey, but I am glad he did
